Among some of the most common pests encountered in Mendham are spotted lanternflies, spiders, fleas, mice, and cockroaches. The Spotted Lanternfly, which emerged in New Jersey in 2018, is a frequent garden nuisance with a misleading name; it’s not actually a fly but instead more closely related to cicadas and aphids.
