Tiny Black Bug #1- Fleas?

tiny black bugs Has your furry pal been incredibly itchy lately? If so, you might have a flea problem. These are a pest that will not only start multiplying rapidly but cause itchiness to both you and your pets.

But where do they like to hang out? This will give you another great idea as to if you are dealing with fleas or a different type of little black bug. Fleas of course are going to be living on a host that is going to give them a food source-blood. And that means your pets. They don’t stay on humans long because we just aren’t the same.

You can also keep an eye out for them in your carpets, pet beds, dark areas of couches, and other areas that your pet may frequent. You can get rid of them off of certain areas with high heat. However, treating your home, yard, and of course, pets as soon as you notice a problem is going to be the best way to keep a flea problem from becoming an infestation.

Tiny Black Bug #2- Carpet Beetles?

So what if you find black bugs in your carpet, where we mentioned fleas could take up residence, but you or your pets aren’t being bitten at all? You may have carpet beetles in your home.

Carpet beetles will lay their eggs in your carpet and they feed on the fibers along with things like wool or silk. They also can digest keratin, which is the protein that is present in animal or human hair, skin, or fur. So in your home, they have a lot to feed on.

But how haven’t you noticed them before? Well, for one, they are very small like the size of a pin-head. And also, they tend to reproduce pretty slowly. So until you start to notice something eating your carpets, you may not really notice that these tiny black bugs are a problem in your home.

So how do you eat rid of these pests out of your home? You will have to wash everything you can, to make sure that the beetles aren’t living on those items. You should also wipe down your drawers where your store any clothing. Then you will have to have your home treated by your local pest company to ensure that these tiny black bugs are gone for good because no one wants holes in their favorite carpet.

Tiny Black Bug #3- Weevils?

You can disinfect any cans, plates, or other items in your pantry with hot soapy water.
