Allow me to introduce myself. My name is John Melchior and I am the owner of Kapture Pest Control.

Growing up I’ve always had a fascination with bugs and critters, so pest control was an easy choice to make. When I’m not crawling around under New Jersey’s homes identifying bug droppings, I’m crawling around on the floor of my own home with my son Teddy and my daughter Mia.

My wife and I enjoy the simple things in life, like a good home-baked loaf of bread, a trip to the Jersey Shore, or enjoying a nice plastic meal from Teddy’s play kitchen.

When you’re outnumbered by your own kids, your only move is to become their teammate. Cowabunga.

The Story of Kapture Pest Control

Growing up in New Jersey, your options when it came to pest control were plentiful. As is customary in our neck of the woods, there were several small mom and pop pest control companies that lived, worked, and played right in the backyards they served.

Once upon a time, our market was highly saturated with local companies that provided excellent, personal service. Over the last few decades though, this all changed. A few large national (and international) pest control companies came to town and started buying up all the local competitors and over time the landscape changed.

What was once a highly saturated market with all of these neighborhood pest control teams (most of which had very happy customer bases tracing 20+ years) had become a place with the illusion of options but a lack of customer satisfaction.

Over and over again customers were promised nothing would change under new management, but over and over again were met with being treated like nothing more than a number. The technicians changed constantly. There was no rush. No empathy. No customer service. We call this the dark time in New Jersey pest control.

Seeing this unfold, I knew I had to do something about it. So I set out to start a pest control company that used science, compassion, and good-old-fashioned common sense to give the residents of New Jersey that neighborhood pest control company feel again!

I first hired Kapture pest control for an internal mouse issue. The company was compassionate knowledgeable and immediately responsive to our problem. Within a day a technician was at our house. After a few visits the issue w the rodents was under control and then completely eradicated. I was very pleased.
