Jefferson: A Small Town With A Big Story

Jefferson is a scenic town in Morris County where Mother Nature knows how to paint a picture. Flush with pastoral slopes, working farms, and enchanted forests, it finds beauty in its simplicity. With plenty of wide open space, this city draws outdoor lovers, serenity seekers, and New Jerseyans hoping to find less densely developed areas. The recreational activities are abundant, from cycling to kayaking, and perhaps only overshadowed by the region’s history. Old mills, stone buildings, rusted mine shafts, and weathered railways tell the tales of the past, while its name honors one of America’s fathers (who was president at the time of the town’s founding). A perfect place to escape the nearby metropolis, visitors often come here to enjoy local festivals, play a round of golf, cruise the waters of nearby lakes, or hike the trails. Many stay for the traditions, culture, community-centered values, and good, old-fashioned peace and quiet.

Controlling Pests in Jefferson

People frequently move to Jefferson to get away from the rat race, but that doesn’t mean they get away from all the rats. Like most towns, it has its fair share of pests, ranging from four-legged intruders to six-legged nuisances to flying frustrations.

Due to its open space, mice are especially problematic, particularly field mice that live in meadows but move indoors to seek shelter, food, and warmth. Ticks enjoy fields, too; they thrive in tall grass and woodlands, and they have a thirst for human and animal blood. Despite their vampire-like tendencies, they don’t need an invitation to enter your home; they sneak in on people, pets, and clothing.

Wasps are commonly spotted in Jefferson as well; insects that can sting repeatedly, they’re known for being aggressive toward humans. Ants, small but mighty, love to spend time in the great indoors, frequenting kitchens and garages in hopes of finding a sugar cube. Spiders enter homes seeking warmth and prey. Some are small while others, such as wolf spiders, are quite large; some spiders can even jump. (Isn’t that fun?)

No matter the type of pest pestering you, we’ll custom-design a solution. At Kapture, our team has expertise on all New Jersey pests and experience in removing creepy crawlies and furry fiends from attics, basements, barns, and beyond.
