Professional Pests Control
Winfield is a community that came to life during World War II. Among the smallest towns in New Jersey, it continues to embrace old-time values, neighborly love, and community spirit. Pests here are plentiful, and infestations range from a single rat to a million ants.

Winfield: A Watery War-Inspired Community
Winfield is a small township located along the Rahway River in Union County; it’s just southwest of Staten Island and roughly 20 miles from the Big Apple. Like other nearby areas, it’s full of whimsical waterways, welcoming parks, and tight-knit neighborhoods. Unlike other places, its housing is largely run as a cooperative, where residents own shares in a corporation rather than their own homes. With fewer than 2,000 residents, it’s a place where everyone doesn’t just know your name, but they know all your family drama, too!
The city is younger than many in the region; it was established during World War II as a planned housing community for defense workers employed at the nearby Kearny Shipyard. It officially formed in 1941, as modest, duplex-style homes filled the streets and evoked a patriotic ethos. Today, the village-like feel persists, and the residential uniformity transports people back to a simpler era of modest lawns, rectangular layouts, and bike-lined driveways. Despite proximity to big, booming cities, this tiny town stays true to itself and maintains a united front.

Water Lovers and Good Luck Charms
Throughout New Jersey, creatures and critters thrive, and this town is no exception to that pest policy. With its seasonal weather and waterways, Winfield is a win-win for infestations of all varieties.
Mosquitos are especially drawn to the area’s moisture, but they don’t just love the lake life for its scenic views. Mosquitoes lay eggs in or near water and are aquatic in their larval and pupal stages. They don’t require anything big; stagnant reservoirs and ponds are ideal, yet even a water-filled bottle cap or plant saucer can successfully perpetuate their lifecycle.
Ants are magnificent creatures that can infest in the thousands or millions. They’re one of the strongest animals relative to size and able to carry 20-50 times their body weight . . . the equivalent of a 150-pound human lifting a pair of polar bears, an elephant calf, or a pickup truck. Ants attract other ants, something that isn’t just fortuitous; these insects network through their pheromone scent trails to guide each other to food. If you spill honey on a kitchen shelf, a single ant will quickly tell its friends.
Bedbugs aren’t attracted to your pantry; they’re drawn to your plasma. They feed on your blood as you sleep, leaving behind small raised welts that may itch or burn (those who are allergic can have much more severe reactions). A female bedbug can lay hundreds of eggs in her lifetime, making infestations difficult to control on your own.
Crickets are considered lucky in many cultures, a concept perpetuated by European folklore, Feng Shui traditions, and Native American beliefs (this might be true for a single insect, but Winfield infestations are a different story!). There are believed to be over 2,000 cricket species, and they come in brown, tan, and black hues. Only the male crickets chirp, doing so to attract females, deter rival males, and establish territory.
Cockroaches can expose you to viruses, bacteria, feces, and other unpleasant substances. Exceptional survivors, they’re extraordinarily adaptable and can thrive in nearly any environment, alter their behavior to avoid danger, and go for long periods without food and water. They’ve been around for 300 million years, even predating the dinosaurs (never mind Jurassic Park, we’re ready to take on Jurassic Pests).
No matter the creepy crawlies creating chaos on your Winfield property, we can help.
