Wasps are aggressive insects that need anger management classes as summer progresses, colonies expand, and food becomes scarce. They’re among the most common party crashers, showing up at barbecues and commandeering your medium-rare burger. Unlike bees, they don’t lose their stinger when they attack; they can go on a stabbing spree until they tire.

Spiders invade Upper Saddle River homes and buildings more often in summer, due to extreme heat, energy needs, and mating activity. In fact, many spiders quite enjoy living indoors all year long; they prefer dark and quiet places where they can set up their website and live on the “fly.” You’re most likely to find them in corners of your garage, basement, and window wells, but it’s not uncommon for them to crawl into living spaces.
