Mice Ant Elimination Demarest

Jase called us because he and his wife had been seeing mice droppings and carpenter ants at their home in Demarest. The mice droppings were primarily found behind the stove in the kitchen and also in a closet in the basement.

While this has been going on, they’ve also been seeing carpenter ants stream into the kitchen from the outside.

To eliminate the mice and make sure that they don’t have any new one’s coming in we checked the outside of the home for gaps.

We found the above pictured entry point. Below the entry point we found mice droppings and also rub marks from mice confirming that they have been using that entry point.

Since mice leave behind grease marks it’s possible to identify what runways they have been using. Sealing up those runways with copper mesh makes sure that they can’t chew right back in.

To eliminate the carpenter ants we treated inside the kitchen with a gel bait and then did an exterior barrier treatment. The combination of those treatments eliminates any current ants inside the house and then also affects any ants that are trying to come back in thereafter.

We did a follow-up with Jase in Demarest two weeks after our initial service. On that visit we confirmed that all mice activity was eliminated. We also did a spot treatment to eliminate any remaining ants.

Going forward Jase will be on our Protection Plan. That means we will continue coming out every three months to their house in Demarest do a preventive service. That way we can ensure that these issues don’t come back in the future.
